Prestigious Man Booker Prize Longlist has an Indian Author
London: The long list of Man Booker Prize announced on Wednesday 29 July has the name of an Indian author, Anuradha Roy. She was short listed for her book 'Sleeping on Jupiter'.
The judging panel of five selected 13 works of fiction from 156. The list includes British author Tom McCarthy's Satin Island, British writer Andrew O'Hagan's The Illuminations and Indian-origin, Sunjeev Sahota's The Year of the Runaways. The recognition is awarded for the best literary fiction in English. The list will get short to six by September. The winner will be announced on October 13.
