Registrations Open for ADEC Home Schooling Programmes Until May 14th
Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) has opened registrations for its home schooling and adult education programmes for the academic year 2015-2016. Students in Abu Dhabi can enrol in the programmes until 14 May, 2015.
Applicants who wish to pursue homeschooling can register online at the ADEC website, www.adec.ac.ae, and then, they can complete the registration process at any ADEC customer care service centres. Registrations for adult education can be done at centres within the area where the applicants reside. They should bring all necessary certificates and documents at the time of registration.
Emiratis and their children can enrol in all grades while children of expatriates, first and second degree relatives of Emirati nationals and Arab expatriates can enrol in foundational and complementary courses. All other Arabic speaking nationalities can enrol themselves in home schooling.
At present, there are 6000 students enrolled in adult education centres across Abu Dhabi, while 4600 students are pursuing home schooling. The students are enrolled in 34 centres in Abu Dhabi, out of which 10 centres offer morning classes and 24 offer evening classes.
According to Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, ADEC’s executive director of school operations, ADEC is keen to support students in continuing their education.
