Underprivileged Students in Uttar Pradesh to Have Smart Classrooms Soon
Poor students of government-run Jayaprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Schools will now get smart education as Allahabad government decides to set up smart classrooms in 19 Sarvodaya schools.
An amount of Rs. 26 crores has been allocated by the state government to modernize these schools and also sanctioned an amount of Rs. 80.84 lakh which is a part of Rs. 6.98 crore kept aside for the 1st phase of the project.
For the students of classes 9-12, smart classrooms will be set up at 3 schools in Sonbhadra, 2 each in Hardoi and Lucknow and one each in Banda, Bulandshahr, Faizabad, Mainpuri, Robertsganj, Jhansi, Kheri, Gonda, Chitrakoot, Rae Bareli, Manikpur and Basti.
There are total 93 Sarvodaya schools which include 4 in Allahabad providing free education and housing facilities to students up to class 12. Apart from this, these schools also provide book and uniforms at free of cost to students.
