CBSE Class 12 Results: Delhi Girl Tops With 99.2%
The CBSE class 12 results have been announced a while ago. M. Gayatri of New Green Field School in Saket, Delhi is the top scorer in 2015. She scored 496 marks out of 500(99.2%) followed by Mythili Mishra from Amity International School, Noida with a score of 495 out of 500 (99%).
However, the score of last year’s topper Sarthak Aggarwal (99.6%) remains unbroken. Sarthak had scored the highest ever marks in CBSE class 12.
Girls have once again out performed boys in the results announced today. Girls scored a pass percentage of 87.56% while boys scored 77.77%. Overall pass percentage for the year is 82%. Last year, it was 82.70%.
Pass percentage of CBSE Chennai region, has dropped to 91.4% this year from 92.89%. However, Alrice Dorine Alva from Don Bosco School, Navi Mumbai, has secured a place in the national merit list with a score of 471 out of 500(94.2%).
Girls outperformed boys in the Chennai region as well, with a pass percentage of 92.13%. The boys scored a pass percentage of 90.32%.
At least 10,29,874 students appeared for the exam this year, with 6,03,064 boys and 4,26,810 girls.
Schools under Delhi region can collect the results from the office of the respective zonal office of Deputy Director of Education. The officials said that the CBSE class 10 results will also be announced in a couple of days.
The board also mentioned that post-result counselling will begin on Monday and it will continue till June 8th.
