A set of Canberra teachers spent their first day of holidays in Yosemite National Park, traveling with a human body and swimming with sharks.
Education directorate is trying to make the technology which helps them to make their explorations success available to more schools. This technology allows teachers to take students on virtual tours of museums, ocean and the outer space and much more.
Over 350 teachers attended third Canberra summit featuring Google for education on Monday where Jim Sill, Director of Edtech team talked to teachers on including virtual reality in classrooms.
Mark Huxley, services and transformation branch executive said that virtual reality is an amazing way for students to explore new places.
Education directorate team is discussing with schools on introducing this technology as already 84 schools are using Google apps.
