Google introduced “Expeditions”, an educational app 2 years ago in the past I/O helping students to experience the virtual reality technology.
Now it seems that Google is going to expand its “Expeditions” by including an AR code. They decided to use their Tango technology to bring AR in the classroom.
According to Google, “Over 2 million students have taken virtual trips with this education app and this motivated us to bring AR lessons to classrooms. With Expeditions AR, students can assemble around a strand of DNA or the statue of David without leaving their respective classroom.”
The very new Expeditions AR mode will be introduced in the schools later in the year in Google’s Pioneer program.
