Thiruvananthapuram, India- State government is going to launch two skill projects on IT and Electronics in schools.
The two projects- the second phase of Learn to Code project and a new Electronics@School programme are launched by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at a function.
Under the “Learn to Code Project”, 7,500 students will get Raspberry Pi palm computer kits and under Electronics@School programme, 6000 students will get electronic kit.

Raspberry Pi is a low-cost credit card sized computer carrying almost every function of a regular computer including internet surfing.
Shri P.K. Abdu Rabb will launch this project and give color-coded training kits to the selected children.
The structure of the kit divides electronics into six blocks; all are color coded which make it more perceptive. It also enables users to learn to program in languages such as Python and Scratch.
The Electronics Kit is aligned with the Physics curriculum of classes 9 and 10.This will be really an asset to the children.
