Ahmed Mohamed, 14 was arrested for bringing his home-made clock into school, which teachers claimed 'looked like a bomb'.
"I built a clock to make an impact on my teacher but she thought it was a threat to her. I'm very sad as she got the wrong impression of it.", said Ahmed.
The news went viral, and US President Barack Obama and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg voiced their opinions in support of the kid.
“'Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should motivate kids like you,” Obama Tweeted.
The police decided not to put charges against a 14-year-old who had been proud to show off his achievement to his teachers.
Ahmed said that he wants to attend either the University of Tampa or Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He also said that he has many other inventions using magnets to generate power, but he didn’t reveal any detail about it.
Now, Mohamed has received props for his science skills and invites to both the Facebook and White House.
