School Kids to Learn About Online Safety and Etiquette from Google
Google to launch an educational campaign for school kids to teach them how to secure themselves from frauds, predators and other unnecessary troubles.
Google coordinated the curriculum in “Be Internet Awesome”- a program announced on Tuesday with online safety groups. It also includes the Internet Keep Safe Coalition and Family Online Safety Institute.
These are meant mainly for kids of age group 8-12 years. This is the time when most of today’s children are getting smartphones and other such devices, which connect to the internet.
To make it more fun and interesting, Google and its partners developed a game named “Interland”, helping teachers to use the aspects of the program in the classrooms.
