Taking a Step Ahead in Education - Telangana Signs MoU with ISRO


As a new step towards improving its educational broadcast TV services, the Telangana government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for using space technology with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), yesterday. The agreement was inked by the officials of ISRO's Development & Educational Communication Unit (DECU) and the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communication of Telangana government for 'Mana TV'.

"The state government and DECU will work together to create and disseminate educational content by using Satcom, so that it reaches the entire population of the state," informed Virender Kumar, Director at DECU.

By promoting education, the noble mission has the potential to contribute to the development of the entire state. The state's IT Minister, Sri K.T. Rama Rao, indicated that from October 14th,  about 6,000 schools across Telangana will launch digital classes. Apart from that, Mana TV will introduce coaching classes from October 1st  for candidates who are preparing for Group II services examination of the Telangana Public Service Commission (TPSC). As a future goal, the program aims to put launching similar coaching programmes for various competitive exams at the prime place.
