YouTube Training for Teachers on New Exam Pattern

In a new move initiated by the MSBSHSE (Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education), teachers all over Maharashtra will get training through YouTube on the new exam pattern being planned for Class IX and X. The decision was taken after a virtual training session’s failure due to technical shortcomings.

The Maharashtra state board has decided to change the Class IX and X question paper patterns this year. In the new exam pattern, question papers would be more activity-based, a board official said. Due to this, just referring textbooks would not be enough. Therefore, the board has been providing virtual training to the teachers.

Earlier, these sessions were taken offline. But from this year it was decided to provide virtual training. 250 centres were set up all over the state by the Maharashtra State Board for the same purpose, said the officials.

But teachers demanded that video sessions must be provided on YouTube as several sessions were incomplete due to technical glitches.

“We are now looking at providing these sessions to teachers on YouTube or will provide them CDs of the same,” said Krishna Patil, Secretary, MSBSHSE.
