Jayavel, a 22 year old youth of Chennai, went from begging on the streets of Nellore district, Chennai to studying at Cambridge University. This boy is really an inspiration for every youth across the world as he proved that if one can get a chance, he/she can do even wonders.
Throughout his life, Jayavel and his family were dependent on other’s kindness to survive. He and his family moved to Chennai after all their crops were demolished. There was no option left for him except begging as he lost his father at a very young age and his mother became an alcohoic.
His life started changing when Uma Muthuraman entered his life. She and her husband run an NGO named “Suyam Charitable Trust”, they meet Jayavel when they were in the making of a documentary on street kids.
They gave him a chance to continue his education. He went on to study hard, resulting in scoring good marks for the Class 12 examination. Then he appeared and cleared the Cambridge University entrance exam and got admitted to Glyndwr University, Wales, United Kingdom for pursuing Performance Car Enhancement Technology Engineering. Now, he is moving forward to Italy for further studies.
